Joseph Henry is a small family business with outstanding quality and sophistication.

This is some information that i received from Neil (owner of Joseph Henry Workshop) explaining the history behind the business:

“Joseph Henry Workshop is a company that prides itself of handmade goods. Not just Leather, but that is it’s primary business right now. Joseph Henry Workshop is the love, blood, sweat and tears of Neil Singh, me. I have worked with my hands all of my life even when I had jobs that involved pushing a mouse around I always found it necessary to make things with my hands. From lego in my childhood, plastic model kits in my preteen to late teens, Body Jewelry in the nineties, renovations, woodworking, the list goes on.

My father (Joseph) played and continues to be an inspiration to me. He has practically rebuilt my childhood home, created various pieces of furniture, toys, remote control boats and taught me just about everything I know.

My wife’s father (Henry) who passed away when she was 4 was also a very handy gentleman, making knives and various furniture items for friends and family most of which still exists today. Some of us need to make. I need to make things, useful things, beautiful things.

Getting back into leather working has always been on my mind and 2013 proved to be the right time for me to jump back in, re-learning some skills and expanding on others. Each product has evolved over a relatively short, but focussed, period of time and will continue to evolve.

I consider all feedback about my work and it helps me shape the next version or inspires a new one. I have several products in development at any one time. Stay tuned and keep letting me know what you think”
